These terms relate to the purchase of event entries via the website: http://primoevents.com and all primoevents.com sub domains.
Under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000, we are not obliged to give refunds as we fall within the part-exempt distance contracts. Therefore entry fees are non-refundable other than in exceptional circumstances. If you register other participants on their behalf, you have done so with their permission and their acceptance of the terms and conditions.
When Primo Events sells an event registration, it is done on a NO REFUND basis. If an individual event has terms and conditions that differ from these, then they will be listed via that event’s own website and/or the Primo Events web page relevant to that event.
Currency of Purchase
All transactions will be conducted in Pounds Sterling. An invoice will not be supplied with the confirmation of your entry, although a confirmation email will be sent to the registered email address.
Event Cancellation or Change of Event Date
If for any reason an event is cancelled or the date has to be changed due to Force Majeure, a full refund will be available please contact us by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you have entered an event but are unable to participate, some events allow number swaps, but there is a strict procedure to follow. You can make enquiries about this by emailing email@example.com. For health and safety reasons you must not in any circumstances give your race number to anyone else unless the number swap procedure has been correctly followed.
Completion of the registration form and payment of fees due will confirm your place in an event. A receipt will be displayed on your screen along with a confirmation email sent to the address supplied during the checkout process.
Details for collecting your race number will be displayed on the event’s own website and/or the Primo Events web page relevant to that event.
We want you to be able to purchase products from our website with complete confidence. Your communication with our server is secure using 256 bit Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology. This means that your personal details, including payment details, are encrypted when transmitted to us. When you ‘Proceed to Checkout’, secure pages are indicated by the address on the Address/Location bar changing from http:// to https:// and a padlock key in the bottom right-hand status bar of your web browser.
Primo Events and its owners act as an agent for the Event Organisers for the purpose of taking online entries only. Primo Events shall not be liable for injury to the participant / applicant or the conduct, organisation, delivery or operation of the event in any way whatsoever.
We are registered under the Data Protection Act and our registration number is: Z3384607
The personal information gathered by Primo Events when you place your order will only be used for the purpose of administering the event. This could be by Primo Events, the race organisers, or any appointed third party, such as an official photographer, or a race timer. Certain details such as your name, age and running club, but not contact data, may appear on various results websites, results emails, text messages and could even appear in newspapers.
Credit and Debit card details are held solely by the Payment Service Provider, and are unknown to both Primo Events and the Event Organisers.
Unless you have ticked the Data Opt Out box on the registration form we may use your information to tell you about various offers / other events which Primo Events are involved in. You can opt out of these emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link within any email.
